Doris "Dee" McRobert

Doris “Dee” McRobert, 99, of Appleton, formerly of Waupun, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 at Carolina Manor Assisted Living.

Dee was born May 18, 1923 in Green Bay, WI the daughter of Wallie and Francis Rettman Hansen. On September 14, 1946 she married Maurice “Maurie” McRobert in Waupun. The couple resided in Waupun all their married lives. Dee was employed at Waupun Public Library for 20 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun where she was an usher and belonged to the Women’s Circle. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing and reading.

Dee is survived by a daughter, Peggy (Mark) Mimura of Boise, Idaho; a son, Patrick McRobert of California; two grandchildren: T.J. and Madison; a brother, John (Nancy) Hansen of Green Bay; three sisters: Naomi Schouten of DePere, Una Deen Wendricks of Green Bay, and Sandra (Alan) Ellis of Appleton; friend, Peggy Remmel; and nieces and nephews.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Maurie, in 1998; brother, Wallie Hansen Jr.; brothers-in-law: Elmer Schouten and Hubert Wendricks; and a dear friend, June Southard.

Funeral services for Doris “Dee” McRobert will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun with Pastor Jeff Nicla officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun. Friends and relatives may call on the family on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
