Doreen Collier (nee Marthaler) peacefully reunited with the angels on April 28th at 3:08 am. She was a caring soul who enjoyed her time with family and animals most. Her love of animals shined in many career choices. She was once employed by the Beaver Dam Humane Society, both Beaver Dam and Fond du Lac Veterinary Clinics and Animart. She was a dog groomer for most of these jobs and enjoyed working with the dogs. She also had interest in horses outside of work. The love of horses came at an early age and swayed her to get involved in the Great Circus Parade and other local area parades for several years. She was an active member of Dodge County Boots and Saddle Club, as well as, DCHA (Dodge County Horseman's Association). Doreen was a giver who spent a lot of time doing community service through Friends of the Fox Lake Library. During this time she was a major force that started December to Remember and the Saturday night Youth Group, that still continues at Living Hope Church. Doreen was very creative and crafty. In school she enjoyed drawing and other crafts. She had quilted with the First Presbyterian Church of Fox Lake, WI and spent a lot of time painting and working with the ceramics at Breaking the Mold, also of Fox Lake, WI.
Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Phyllis Marthaler (nee Chapman), one brother, David Marthaler and one sister, Diane Marthaler. She is survived by one brother, Daniel Marthaler of Colorado, one sister, Darilyn Bushweiler of Waupun, WI, one son, Shane Voss of Beaver Dam, WI, two daughters, Stephenie Voss of West Bend, WI, and Tiffany Ohlemiller of Waupun, WI. She is further survived by four grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Services will be a celebration of life at a later date to be decided.
