Diana Roxbury, a beloved resident of Juneau, passed away naturally on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at the age of 78.
Diana was born November 5, 1945, to the parents of Asa and Irene Kaemmerling Roxbury. Diana grew up in Milwaukee before marrying Norman La Crosse and relocated to Lomira. Together, they raised four children, and Diana's nurturing spirit extended beyond her own family as she welcomed numerous foster children into her home over the years. Her dedication to caring for others knew no bounds, and her role as a homemaker was a testament to the love and warmth she brought into her family's lives. For over 25 years, Diana worked at Centro in Horicon, where she was cherished by colleagues and clients alike for her hard work and dedication. Diana's impact on the community was profound, especially notable in 1976 when she orchestrated the Bi-Centennial celebration in Lomira.
Her favorite holiday was Christmas, a time when her home became a beacon of joy and festivity. Diana's door was always open to anyone in need, and she took great care to ensure that no one felt alone during the holiday season. Her kindness knew no bounds, as she always had an extra stash of presents ready for unexpected guests, embodying the true spirit of giving and selflessness.
Diana's unwavering faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found solace in prayer every night, drawing strength from her spirituality. She made it a tradition to escape to the north with her grandkids, creating cherished memories filled with laughter and love. Family was at the heart of everything she did, and her legacy of togetherness will be carried on by those she leaves behind.
Diana is survived by her children: Dave La Crosse (significant other, Vicki Bigler), Tom (Nancy) La Crosse, and Bonnie La Crosse; grandchildren: Lance Hughley, Logan (Dana) Hughley, Dennis “Denny” (Natika) Hughley, Samuel La Crosse, Andrew La Crosse, Nathan La Crosse, Brittany (Kevin) Maas, Brooke La Crosse (fiance, Brandon), Mika Allard (significant other, Myles), Mario Scotson (fiance, Vanessa), Mira La Crosse, and Mena La Crosse; great-grandchildren: Jaedon Hughley, Anthony Hughley, Jacee Hughley, Jaxton Hughley, Adeline Hughley, Dominic Scotson, “Little Miss P”, and Meredith La Crosse; siblings: Larry “Butch” Roxbury and Richard “Dick” Roxbury; and many other relatives and friends.
