David "Scott" Odiorne

David “Scott” Odiorne, 75, of Waupun, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Scott was born July 28, 1937 in California, the son of Carroll and Rosalie McIntyre Odiorne. Scott served his country with the U.S. Navy as a Navy Seal for six years. He married Jeanne McIntyre while in the Navy. Jeanne preceded him in death in 1990. Scott worked in the oil fields for 15 years and was a dental technician for crown and bridge work near Long Beach, California from which he retired. On January 10, 1991 he married Josephine Buwalda Vander Velde. The couple traveled for seven years, and in 2000 moved to Waupun. Scott was a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Waupun.
Scott is survived by his wife, Jo Odiorne of Waupun; a son, David Odiorne, Jr. of Austin, TX; a daughter, Debbie (David) Freitas of Sacramento, CA; two step-children, Marsha (Randy) Veldhuizen of Woodlake, CA and David Vander Velde of Ridgefield, WA; and eight grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Central Wisconsin Christian Schools.

Friends and relatives may call on the family on Friday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Memorial services for Scott Odiorne will be held Friday, January 11, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Jeff Brower officiating.
