Claudia Bresser, 83, of Waupun, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 21, 2012.
Claudia was born August 9, 1928 in Sheboygan Falls, WI the daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Van Vergeyk Van Wyk. Claudia resided in Sheboygan Falls until her marriage to Russell Bresser on April 6, 1949. The couple farmed in the Fox Lake area until 1966 at which time they moved to their farm near Oakfield. In 1978 they retired from farming and moved to Waupun. Claudia had a passion for gardening and flowers, sharing flowers with her friends and church. Claudia enjoyed ministering to others and had a passion for prison ministry. Claudia was a very active member of Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun where she sang with the choir, was a soloist, and taught Sunday School.
Claudia is survived by five children, Marcia (Harvey) Smit of rural Mayville, Rolland “Rollie” (Jane) Bresser of rural Oakfield, Laurenda “Laurie” (Jeff) Mueller of Waupun, LaVonne “Vonnie” (John) Hofman of rural Fond du Lac, and LaCinda “Cindy” (Gary) Sullivan of Waupun ; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Minnie (Melvin) Veldman of Plymouth, and Peternella Huibregtse of Sheboygan Falls; two brothers, Adrian (Marion) Van Wyk of Apple Valley, CA, and John (Vonnie) Van Wyk of Oostburg; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Van Wyk of Sheboygan Falls, Catherine Van Wyk of Sheboygan, Laurene Rens of Brandon, and Delores Rens of Waupun; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Bresser; and three brothers, William Van Wyk, Andrew Van Wyk, and Cunard Van Wyk in infancy.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Andy Land and the staff at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for their loving care of our mother.
Services:
Funeral services for Claudia Bresser will be held Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. John White officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Claudia Bresser may call on the family on Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
