Clara Weinberger

May 3, 1926 — April 14, 2016

Randolph: Clara Weinberger, age 89 of Randolph, died peacefully Thursday morning, April 14, 2016 at Golden Living-Continental Manor in Randolph. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 18, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Reformed Church in Randolph with Rev. Pam Harkema officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on the family at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Clara was born on May 3, 1926 in Columbia County on Inglehart Rd, the daughter of Nicholas and Josephine (Postma) Boomsma. She graduated from England Country School and worked as a nanny for area families. Clara was united in marriage to John Sr. “Jack” Weinberger on July 29, 1950 at the Courtland United Methodist Church. Besides raising a family, Clara worked hard alongside her husband on their farm. In 1981, they retired from farming and moved to the village of Randolph where they resided ever since. Together they enjoyed many trips throughout the United States with family and friends. Clara was a devoted member of the United Methodist Church in Randolph and a past member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Clara had hard working hands yet they were gentle to the touch, whether it was her green thumb skills to bring a plant back to life or in the flower and vegetable gardens, to scrapbooking and puzzles. She also had the most beautiful cursive hand writing and loved to correspond with relatives and friends to let them know she was thinking of them. Clara loved to bake and cook, sharing her delicacy meals with many and always had room for one more at her kitchen table, no matter who you were. Clara was a giving and selfless dear soul who put others before herself, a trait that will be carried on by her family for years to come. Clara will be sadly missed and mourned by her husband, John “Jack” Weinberger of Randolph; her children, John Jr. (Sue) Weinberger of Beaver Dam, Ron (Julia) and Roger (Kristel) Weinberger both of Randolph, Shirley (Art) Schregardus of Beaver Dam and Diane (Denis) Homan of Randolph; 14 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, Jim (Justine)Boomsma of Randolph; two sisters-in-law, Helen Boomsma of Rio and MaryAnn Burschet of Marshall; many nieces, nephews, several other relatives and friends. Clara was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Dorothy James, Jess Oliver and Alberta Wiersma; and five brothers, John, Robert, Sam, Don and Harry. Memorials may be directed to the Randolph United Methodist Church, 227 N. High St., Randolph, WI 53956.
