Cheryl Baker, 64, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Waupun, died Monday, January 2, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Cheri was born October 29, 1952 in Waupun the daughter of Lester and Mildred Hopp Armga. Cheri was a 1970 graduate of Waupun High School. Cheri married Dennis Vande Slunt and later David Baker. She was recently engaged and committed to a life with David Wade of Beaver Dam. Cheri was employed by Dodge County in excess of 30 years and retired in July of 2016. For the past few years she assisted in fundraisers for the Badger Honor Flight, helping veterans travel to Washington D.C. She loved her family and grandchildren dearly. Cheri was very social and loved being with people.
Cheri is survived by her fiance, David Wade of Beaver Dam; two children: Adam (Katie) Vande Slunt of Waupun, and Ashley (Brian) Bade of Brandon; six grandchildren: Max, Sophie, and Stella Vande Slunt, and Hannah, Kaelyn, and Callie Bade; her mother, Millie Armga of Waupun; a sister, Linda (Daniel) Lang of Fox Lake; a brother, Randy (Barb) Armga of Waupun; and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lester Armga; and a niece, Tammy Eisenman.
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home and on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services for Cheryl Baker will be held Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Reformed Church in Waupun with Rev. Bruce Wilterdink officiating.
Burial will follow at Cattaraugus Cemetery in the town of Waupun.
