1925-2015
Catherine Paul, 90, of Fox Lake, passed away Friday, June 12, 2015 at Prairie Ridge Assisted Living in Beaver Dam.
Catherine was born January 14, 1925 in the town of Courtland the daughter of Edward and Grace Calkins Baszynski. On September 24, 1943 she was united in marriage to Ernest Paul. Catherine raised a family, cooked at Pin Hill school and worked on the family farm until retirement. She held offices in St. John’s Ladies Aid Society and did volunteer work. She loved to travel, attend local dances, and play cards with the card club. Catherine was a life-long member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Catherine is survived by a daughter, Janice Johnson of Beloit; three sons: Ronald (Kathleen) and Dale (Laura) of Fox Lake, and Kenneth (Nancy) of Beaver Dam; ten grandchildren: Stephen (Lori) Paul, Michael Paul, William Paul, Thomas Paul, Tamara (Danny) Meldrum, Brandy Paul, Andrew Paul, Travis Paul, and Jacob Paul; eight great-grandchildren: Cody, Robert, Elizabeth, Emma, Hunter, Dalton, Lacy, and Alyssa; and many relatives and friends.
Catherine was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents, Grace and Edward Baszynskia; a brother, Sylvan Baszynski; two grandchildren: Nicholas Johnson and Benjamin Paul; and a son-in-law, Gregory Johnson.
Visitation:
Friends and relatives may call on the family on Wednesday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Catherine Paul will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Fox Lake with Rev. David Nottling officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Riverside Memorial Park in Fox Lake.
