Carol M. Landaal, 82, of Waupun, died Monday, March 10, 2014 at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation Center in Waupun.
Carol was born January 1, 1932 the daughter of Lee and Marie Anderson Ousterling. On February 23, 1952 she married William “Bill” Hammer in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun most of their married lives and in Beaver Dam for about 10 years. Carol was employed at West Side Buy-Low in Waupun and Koplan Manufacturing in Fox Lake for several years. Her husband, Bill passed away in 1976. In 1981 Carol married Richard Landaal in Waupun. Following their marriage the couple resided in Waupun and owned and operated Landaal’s Party Mart in Waupun. Carol was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 210 where she served three terms as president.
Carol is survived by her two sons, John “Jack” Hammer of Waupun and Michael “Mike” (Debra) Hammer of Waupun; two grandchildren, Tammy (Nick) Caputa and Tom Hammer; three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Jacob, and Emily; a sister, Nancy (Daryle) Buss of Waupun; a brother-in-law, Edward Vande Slunt of Waupun; and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Bill Hammer and Dick Landaal; and a sister, Mary Vande Slunt.

Friends and relatives of Carol Landaal may call on the family on Friday at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Carol Landaal will be held Friday, March 14, 2014 at 11:30 a.m. at Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun with Rev. Michael Wild officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Waupun.
