Bernard Kloosterboer, 87, of Waupun, died Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.
Bernie was born July 8, 1925 in the town of Alto, the son of John and Mabel Scholten Kloosterboer. On September 20, 1952 he married Louise Galler in Waupun. The couple resided on the Kloosterboer family farm in the heart of Alto most of their married lives. In 1998 they moved to Waupun. Bernie was a dairy farmer and stock farmer, working on the family farm until he was 85. He was a member of Alto Reformed Church where he served as deacon and sang in the choir. He was a member of the Farm Bureau and a fireman for Alto. He was a town supervisor for the town of Alto for a number of years. He was also a member of the Alto School Board. Bernie enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his children dearly, cherished his grandchildren, and missed the love of his life, Louise.
Bernie is survived by his three children, John (Susan) Kloosterboer of Madison, Carla (Steve) Wenninger of Wausau, and Bob (Jodi) Kloosterboer of Alto; eight grandchildren, Mike, Megan, and Kayla Kloosterboer, Eric (Angie) Wenninger, Luke (Cari) Wenninger, Katie (Ryan) Schmitz, and Blayne and Owen Kloosterboer; a great-grandchild, Cal Wenninger; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Joyce Forman, and Max (Judy) Galler.
Bernie was preceded in death by his wife, Louise in 2002; a sister, June Olm; and a brother, Milton Kloosterboer.

Friends and relatives may call on the family at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Services:
Funeral services for Bernie Kloosterboer will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12 noon at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Lindman and Rev. Ted Medema officiating.
Burial:
Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
