Anthony Paul Wendt “Antman-Thorny”, age 32, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Randolph, unexpectedly passed away in a car accident February 7th, 2025 near Mineral Point, WI.
Anthony was born August 10, 1992 in Beaver Dam, WI the son of Donald and Julie (Krist) Wendt. He graduated from Randolph High School in 2011, and then attended UW Platteville. Anthony worked as a mechanic at Hirschbach, JX Truck Center, and then Blains Farm and Fleet as the shop floor manager. Anthony was a stranger to no one. He had a friendly face and was always willing to lend a helping hand to friends, family, and his TKE brothers from UW Platteville. Anthony was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being part of the Free Wheelers MC. Anthony’s greatest devotion in life was being a father to Dustin Metz, Skylar Wendt, and Zeke Wendt.
Anthony leaves behind his wife, Taylor Wendt; parents, Donald (Julie) Wendt; step-son, Dustin Metz; daughter, Skylar Wendt; son, Zeke Wendt; grandmother, Betty Krist; aunt and godmother, Linda Howers; aunt, Diane (Bernie) Witter of North Freedom; aunt, Judy (Larry) Olson of New Mexico; uncle, Robert (Karen) Wendt of Mayville, aunt, Dolly (Russell) Mirus of Iowa; uncle, Dale (Patty) Wendt; uncle Danny Wendt; close friends, cousins and coworkers. Anthony will be missed by many and his memories cherished for years to come.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Krist; grandparents: Marvel and Katherine Wendt; and friend and co-worker at Blains Farm and Fleet, Robert McCall.
A Celebration of Life for Anthony will be held at the Cambria Community Center/Fire Station on Sunday, February 16, 2025 from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
