Cambria:
Alice Mathilda Weishan, age 85, of rural Cambria, passed unexpectedly on Sunday evening, May 19, 2024 at Aspirus-Divine Savior Hospital.
Alice was born on April 2, 1939 to Lester Francis and Ruth Gertrude (Huth) DeRosier in West Allis, WI. She attended Holy Assumption Grade School. After graduating from Pius Catholic High School in 1958, she further obtained an associates degree in Accounting from MATC-West Allis. Alice would then go on to do accounting work for Corporate Central Credit Union.
On November 26, 1960, Alice was united in marriage to James Gerhardt Weishan and remained blissfully married for 64 years. Alice and Jim went on to have 4 children, Carol (Robert) Laloggia of Brookfield, Chris (Joyce) Weishan of Kewaskum, Julie (Gregg) Lentz of Waukesha, and Ruth Ann (Dan) Lee of Poynette.
Alice was devoted to her Catholic faith throughout her life. While enjoying retirement in the northwoods, she was an active member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Wabeno, WI and most recently a member of St. Faustina Parish (St. Mary’s) in Pardeeville. Alice enjoyed spending her days reading, tending to her plants, loving their Beagle Laney, and baking sweet treats for Jim.
Alice will be sadly missed and mourned by her husband and children, grandchildren Alicia and Christian Laloggia, Ray Weishan (fiancé, MaryJo Schmidt), Dr. Laura Weishan, Jordan (Steve) Last, Aaron (Miurell) Lentz, Lilly Lentz, Emily and Madeline Lee, great grandchildren Jeter, Ava, Alice, Anna, Aiden and Eliza, sister Jeanne Cox, sister-in-law Annabelle Weishan, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson Noah Lentz, brother Peter (Maureen) DeRosier, two sisters Catherine Moesch and Nancy (Daniel) Haishuk, brother-in-law Jack Cox and John Weishan, and sister-in-law Lorraine (Ronald) Bieganski.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of her life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024. Service will be held at St. Faustina Catholic Church in Pardeeville (318 S Main St, Pardeeville, WI 53954) with Father Randy Timmerman officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:30 am and Catholic mass following at 11:30 am with a fellowship luncheon immediately afterword.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made for masses said in Alice's name. Flowers will be handled by Green Stem Flowers and Gifts in Poynette, WI.
