Kenneth A. Loomans, 87, a resident of Grancare Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in Fond du Lac.



Ken was born June 15, 1925 in Fond du Lac the son of Alfred and Dorothy Bruins Loomans. On September 11, 1947 he married Marcella Straks in Alto. Following their marriage the couple farmed in the Alto area until 1986. Ken was employed for six summers at American Stores Canning Corporation in Fairwater. He was a member of Alto Reformed Church in Alto where he served as a Deacon and Elder. He taught Sunday School, Bible Class, and was a member of the Golden Lifers. Ken was very active with the Waupun Senior Center, enjoying many of the activities there. Ken Loomans was a man with an extra ordinary deep faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a devoted friend of many.

Ken is survived by two sons, Keith Loomans of Markesan, and Kevin (Julia) Loomans of Appleton; two grandsons, Andrew and Aaron Loomans; a brother-in-law, Harold Rens; a sister-in-law, Helen Straks; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella, in 1992; a son, Stanley in 1954; a daughter, Cheryl in 1990; two sisters, Wilma Rens and Marjorie Kamphuis; and brothers-in-law, Andy Kamphuis and Myrten Straks.


Visitation:
Friends and relatives of Kenneth A. Loomans may call on the family on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Werner-Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun and on Saturday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Services:
Funeral services for Kenneth A. Loomans will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at Alto Reformed Church with Rev. Ted Lindman and Rev. Ted Medema officiating.

Burial:
Burial will follow at Alto Cemetery.
